If your computer is part of a network, you should check with your Network Administrator before making any changes.
Make sure you have administrator rights to your Windows NT computer.
- Close all programs.
- Double click on My Computer.
- Double click on Control Panel.
- Double click on Network.
- Go to the tab on top that says "protocols".
- Highlight TCP/IP Protocol, and then click on properties.
- Place a dot next to "Obtain an IP address from a DHCP server." At this point it may give you a warning starting with "DHCP protocol will attempt to automatically...", click on "Yes".
