In order to ensure that your DSL continues to work, you will need to perform these changes to your computer sometime between Tuesday, August 28th and Saturday September 1st. Then, after our maintenance period on Sunday morning, (September 2nd) you will need to reboot your computer one more time.
Mac OS 8.1 to 9.1
- Close all programs.
- In the upper left hand corner, click on the Apple, go down to Control Panel, and then click on TCP/IP.
- Where it says "Connect via", make sure it is set to Ethernet and that configure using DHCP server is
selected.
- Close the TCP/IP window. When it asks you to save changes, click save.
Mac OS 10
- Close all programs.
- In the upper left hand corner, click on the Apple, go down to System Preferences, and then click on
Preferences.
- Double-click on the Network icon.
- Where it says location, make sure it is set to "Automatic." Where it says Configure make sure it is
set to "Built in Ethernet".
- Select the TCP/IP tab.
- Set the Configure option to "Using DHCP".
- Click on the Save button in the lower right hand corner and then close the window.
